Sustainability work

We have the drive and desire to constantly evolve and we do so with respect for our environment, our fellow human beings and our assets.

We work actively with environmental and sustainability issues, all for a sustainable place for a better everyday life. We want to offer our guests an experience where sustainability permeates our business and we want to offer services / products with ecological, social and economic sustainability.

Some examples of what we do:

  • We use renewable electricity
  • Low-energy/LED lamps are used where possible and we are phasing out older lamps
  • The campsite is largely equipped with presence-controlled lighting
  • Bathrooms have special low-flow nozzles for taps and showers
  • Our laundry is ISO 14001 certified and Nordic Swan Ecolicensed for laundry and textile services version 4
  • Offers vegetarian options
  • Recycling stations on site that encourage guests to sort food waste, glass, paper packaging, hard plastic packaging, metal packaging, electricity and hazardous waste
  • Consumables are purchased with the environment in mind
  • Charging points for electric cars are located in the immediate vicinity of the site

Skellefteå's environmental objectives

As part of Skellefteå municipality, we are involved in the work on Skellefteå's environmental and climate program. A program that will contribute to a sustainable place for a better everyday life. The program contains goals and strategies to reduce climate impact, strengthen biodiversity and promote a healthy living environment.

Responsible Tourism Program

The campsite is sustainability assessed according to international criteria for sustainable tourism and part of the Responsible Tourism Program.

We work according to the Responsible Tourism Program, an approach developed to promote a more sustainable tourism industry, where companies, destinations and municipalities work together for increased environmental consideration, resource-saving solutions, and local community development.

The program is based on the GSTC global standard for sustainable tourism.

The program makes improvements that are good for both visitors and residents, creates jobs and viable businesses, and takes place on nature and culture, which is positive as more and more visitors want to leave the place they visited in a better condition than they found them.
